Sxill in a Box: Al Hosn Giveaway

Demonstrations

A collaboration between Sxilllab and Qasr Al Hosn, Sxill in a Box: Al Hosn offers four skill-enhancing experiences, each wrapped up in a kit, inspired by the history and heritage of Abu Dhabi. The box looks at different aspects of our history and culture and delivers them to everyone – from weaving to pottery and beyond. Families or individuals can experience the artistry and tactile skills at their own pace in the comfort of their own homes.

For the occasion of Eid Al Adha, the first themed box will be a Takkiya Embroidery Kit. This box teaches you the skill of embroidery on the classic Khaleeji takkiya. Takkiya, coming from the word itaki, means to lean on and recline and has long been a part of the Emirati culture.
