URBAN TREASURES

An initiative by the Department of Culture & Tourism Abu Dhabi to raise the profile of Abu Dhabi's longest-running local eateries and shops, by designating them as 'places of cultural significance'.

RECOGNISING ABU DHABI'S LONGEST RUNNING ESTABLISHMENTS

By awarding this special status, it is hoped the initiative will encourage more people to frequent these cafés, restaurants and shops. The designation will highlight each establishment’s place as a significant and popular part of the urban and social fabric of its neighbourhood.

EXPERIENCE THE NOSTALGIA AT WEEKENDS AT AL HOSN

You can also nominate your favourites at the Weekends at Al Hosn events that take place every other weekend until April; make sure to visit Qasr Al Hosn with your family to enjoy an action-packed cultural programme that celebrates the Abu Dhabi of the 1980s and 1990s.
